As we usher in the last month of the year and take the time to reflect on what a successful and absolutely incredible year it has been, we are grateful to all of our members for contributing to the spirit and success of our amazing soccer club.
Reflecting on a Fantastic Year:
What a great year 2023 has been for our club as we prepare to welcome 2024. We have welcomed some very qualified staff coaches to our already remarkable Technical Staff. Through their excellent work with all our players, our staff was expertly able to support our terrific volunteer coaches. Whereas some clubs have 0 coach facilitators, our Port Moody SC is now in a remarkable position to have 3 qualified BC Soccer Certified Coach Education Facilitators on our staff. Throughout the year, our team continues to put on many engaging coach courses, workshops, and learning experiences, which ultimately help improve our player and coach experiences. As a result of many of these things we have implemented as a club, we have seen and continue to see a significant growth of our club. Our players continue to thrive, learn and develop, in our FUN and safe environment, while enjoying playing the sport with their friends. PMSC - The place to be!
Looking Ahead to 2024: Get ready for an exciting winter and Spring! Our coaching staff is excited to keep bringing you engaging and developmental training sessions designed to keep our players engaged and having fun on the field. Spring Season is just around the corner, and registration for the Spring Season (April to June) will open soon! Register during the Early Bird Price for the savings and register early to guarantee spots. As we look ahead to 2024, our club is proud to be starting the BCSPL program in addition to all the other fantastic programs we currently offer. The Port Moody Soccer Club is proud to have achieved Canada Soccer National Club License standards with our performances on and off the field. As a result of all the tremendous work, we have been invited to join the highest level of BC and Canada Club Soccer. It is an enormous achievement and accomplishment for our club and our soccer community!
Inlet Turf Field: Inlet Turf Field is in the final stages of completion, and much of the turf has been laid down over the past few days. We expect our teams to play on the new turf field at some point in January, but we cannot confirm at this point if it will be on January 8th or a bit later. The field opening is weather-dependent due to some jobs the contractor still needs to finalize. The new Inlet Field Turf is beautiful and will have 2 playgrounds next to it and a short walk to Rocky Point Park. This 3rd Turf Field will provide our teams and players more space for practice and allow us to move our games away from grass to turf. Next to the new Inlet Turf Field will be the beautiful new clubhouse, and we are hoping and expecting the ground to break in 2024 with that project. There is so much to look forward to, with great excitement in the New Year and so many impressive accomplishments to look back on and reflect on in 2023. We hope you and your family are enjoying the Fall/Winter season and the experience with our Soccer Club! We strive to be more than a club; we are PMSC Soccer Community!
🎉 Some Important Dates: From impressive goals and individual Long-term Player Development to outstanding teamwork while playing with smiles on their faces and friends, we have witnessed many fantastic moments, and our young athletes continue to inspire us. As we head into the final couple of weeks before the Winter Break, here are some important dates. The last weekend of games before the winter break will be December 16th / 17th. Team practices will resume after the Holidays, the week of January 8th, and the first weekend of games post-Winter Break will be January 13th/ 14th. The last practice for PMSC Monday Academy before the Winter Break will be December 11th, and the Academy will resume on Monday, January 15th. PMSC Adaptive Program Winter sessions start on January 12th. PMSC Futsal Program also starts on January 12th at the Aspenwood Elementary School,
