REFEREES

REFEREES

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A PMSC REFEREE?

Being a Referee is a great opportunity to be a role model to our youth and earn some extra income.

There are 2 levels of referee opportunities

  • Small-Sided Games Referee (U6-U10). Referees must have turned 12 by December 31 of the current year, and have completed the relevant referee training program.

  • Entry Level Referee (U6-U15). Referees must have turned 14 by December 31 of the current year, and have completed the relevant referee training program and/or attended the annual Refresher Course.

Port Moody Soccer Club does not use referees for our U6 and U7 divisions, and requires referees to be a minimum of 2 years older than the age of the players in the match they are refereeing. This does not apply to Assistant Referees.

Please contact PMSC admin should you be interested in officiating this season.

Referee Clinic Updates

Following attendance of all three sessions, students will be provided access to the online Small Sided Referee exam via RefCentre, and will be given 48 hours to complete the exam. Students that receive a passing mark of 70% will have access to print off a copy of their completion certificate in RefCentre. They will receive their Small-Sided Referee badge in the mail approx. 2-3 weeks following the clinic.
