We are officially sold out of spots for this new and innovative adult recreation program.
It is an exciting time, and we are looking forward to starting and continuing to grow this community opportunity. The program sold out the 60 spots very quickly, and we now have 8 players on the waitlist.
The Tuesday Evening ‘Slightly More Competitive” Rec League has also sold 59 out of 60 spots already.
How the CO-ED League will work:
We will play on the new Inlet Turf Field (which has three Super 8 fields). We will make 6 teams based on friend requests and try to keep the teams consistent as long as it makes sense. Ultimately, the whole point is that everyone is having fun, socializing & making new friends, and being active while playing the beautiful game of soccer. If we need to adjust teams due to one team turning out to be too strong, or if one Monday one team has many players away, we will work together with all of you to make sure everyone is happy with the moves made.
Each Monday, we will play a mini World Cup, with each team playing the other 5 in 12 minute games, with a water break in between.
SHIN-GUARDS
We ask that each player wears shin-guards for their protection. We also ask that we are mindful of all the other players and refrain from slide tackles. If you need soccer socks, we sell nice PMSC socks through club store for only $10
Port Moody SC staff will be on hand to organize the games, time them, supervise and ensure all is smooth. I as the Executive Director of the club am very excited and will also be participating in the league alongside you. However, we will not be having referees as hopefully not many fouls, and if there is one, the teams call their fouls and respectfully agree.
FRIEND REQUESTS:
I know when signing up many of you filled out the friend requests. However, not everyone has.
Our Adult Rec League Sponsor, Rewind Beer Co. is providing each player with a shirt, and we need your size in order to know the number of shirts of which size to order.
