  • 2017 Teams Needing Players

     Posted on: Jul 25, 2017

We are currently seeking players for the following recreational (house) teams: GU8 (born 2010) GU10 (bo ..

  • The Port Moody Soccer Club regular season runs from September through to March. Games are typically played on the weekend, and practices are scheduled during the weekdays.

Once players are registered, they are placed on a team either through a tryout/evaluation process (March-May) or by the Age Group Coordinator (beginning of August). We offer Fall Soccer programs - from "Cradle to Grave", which is from U4 all of the way up to U21/Adult League.

All of PMSC's programs meet and exceed the requirements of the Canadian Soccer Association's LTPD: Wellness to World Cup (Long Term Player Development), and the BC Soccer Player Pathway, which have been designed to provide players of all skill levels an opportunity to learn, grow and develop at their own individual pace.

The Port Moody Soccer Club provides a full game kit (jerseys, shorts, and socks) to each player (as part of the registration fee). Each player is then responsible for having his/hers own soccer shoes and shin pads.

Kick Start (U4 - U7) The Kick Start program is available for boys and girls born in 2010 (U7), and 2011 and 2012 (U5 & U6). More information about this program can be found here.

Players in the U5 - U10 age groups will be placed into teams based on school catchment and neighborhood (ideal team/local placement is not guaranteed, every effort will be made, but sometimes not possible). For more information about the U5 - U10 player programs, please view our U5 - U10 Program Policy here.

Players in the U11 - U18 age groups, wishing to play at a House level, will be placed on teams, based on team balancing.

Players in the U8 - U18 age groups wishing to play at a competitive level, will be required to attend the Evaluations, which typically take place in March - May. These Evaluations will determine which team the player will be placed on for the following season. Younger players U8 - U10 will be selected for our "streaming" development program. The details about the U8 - U10 Development Program can be found here.

Typically, boys games will be on Saturday's and the girls games will be on Sunday's.

The U9 - U10 age groups will play their games at Heritage Woods Grass Field.

The U11 - U12 Age Groups will play their games at either Aspenwood Grass Field, Westhill Grass Field or North Shore Turf Field (all dependent on home field scheduling).

The U13 - U18 age groups will play at either Trasolini Turf Field, North Shore Turf Field or Heritage Mountain Grass Field (all dependent on home field scheduling).

Adult teams will typically play at either North Shore Turf Field or Trasolini Turf Field.
