Adaptive Soccer Program

The Port Moody Soccer Club is excited to offer an Adaptive Soccer Program.

This program is offered to girls and boys, aged 6-16, and is suitable for those players who may not be able to play in mainstream soccer. All youth with disabilities/abilities are welcome.

The PMSC's mission statement states:

The Port Moody Soccer Club is a community built on PRIDE, LOYALTY, and RESPECT.

Together we foster an environment where enjoyment and love of the game are encouraged at all ages.

Meet the Adaptive Soccer Coaches


Kelsey Merritt

Introducing Kelsey Merritt, as Head Coach for the PMSC Adaptive Soccer Program.  Kelsey has been with the soccer club as one of the coaches for the Adaptive Soccer Program since it started in 2017. She has played soccer for 20 years both in rec leagues and competitive teams. Kelsey brings her fun-loving attitude and passion for soccer to the club. She is currently completing her Bachelors of Therapeutic Recreation that has helped her and Danielle design sessions that support all abilities. Kelsey believes that everyone has the right to leisure and recreation and that soccer is an opportunity to help individuals come together to gain new skills and most of all have fun.


Danielle Barrett

Introducing Danielle Barrett, Head Coach for the PMSC Adaptive Soccer Program. Danielle has been with PMSC as one of the coaches for the Adaptive Soccer Program since it started in 2017. She has played soccer for over 15 years. Danielle brings her passion for soccer and a positive attitude to the program. She is currently completing her Bachelors of Therapeutic Recreation which has helped guide her and Kelsey as they support the children and their needs, and design fun and purposeful sessions. Danielle values the right to recreation and leisure and believes that everybody deserves the opportunity to participate and have fun. She believes that soccer is a great way to get active, have fun and gain new skills


Morgan Barrett

Introducing Morgan Barrett as Assistant Coach for the PMSC Adaptive Soccer Program. Hi, my name is Morgan and I have been with the Adaptive Soccer Program since January of 2018. I have played soccer for over 15 years. I am currently enrolled at Douglas College to become an elementary school teacher. My personal goal for the program is to help the children learn new soccer skills as well as create a positive and fun environment.


Leah Tinaburri

Introducing Leah Tinaburri, as Assistant Coach for the PMSC Adaptive Soccer Program. Hi there! My name is Leah Tinaburri and I am an assistant coach for the Adaptive Soccer program. I’ve played soccer for 13 years in the Port Moody Soccer club and I continue to play for a women’s league in Coquitlam. I love playing soccer and I’m excited to teach kids of varying abilities within the program the essential skills needed for soccer! I look forward to volunteering and meeting all the kids and parents!!



PMSC offers an Adaptive Soccer Program three times per year:
Fall, Winter and Spring


2018 Fall Program:

  • Season has completed and 2019 fall season registration opens March 2019

2019 Winter Program:

  • When: Friday's - January 11- March 15 (no session Friday, Feb 15)
  • Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
  • Location:

    Trasolini Turf Warm up Cage - (

    located at south end of the main soccer field behind the Port Moody Rec Center.).  NOTE: January sessions may be held at a different location.
  • Registration: Registration open - CLICK HERE
  • # of Sessions: 9
  • Cost: $100

2019 Spring Program:

  • When: Friday's - April 5- June 14 (no sessions April 19 & May 17)
  • Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
  • Location: 

    Trasolini Turf Warm up Cage - (

    located at south end of the main soccer field behind the Port Moody Rec Center.).  
  • Registration: opens January 2019
  • # of Sessions: 9
  • Cost: $100

  • * Port Moody Soccer Club uniform is provided, including shorts, socks & jersey.

    *KidSport Funding is available, and all Ministry Funding is accepted*
