Technical Director – Johnny Sulentic
Johnny has worked with the Port Moody Soccer Club as the Technical Director for the past 8 years.
Girls Head Coach – Brittany Baxter
Brittany recently joined the soccer club as the Girls Head Coach. She is a former Canadian national team player and the second youngest player to be selected to play at that level and has 132 caps. She is also a former Olympian. Brittany brings her drive and determination to the club but most importantly her love of the game. She works with the girls in the club at all ages and focuses on their individual and team based training to ensure all players get a chance to work on their skills. She is highly focused on not only developing our girls on the field, but also believes that mentoring helps to develop players off the field as well.
Lead Performance Therapist – Melissa Tancredi
Melissa recently joined the club and academy as our lead performance therapist and her focus is getting our boys and girls ready for the academy sessions so they are properly warmed up. Melissa’s focus is not just warm ups, but also assessing our players biomechanics to look for problems so she and the player can work at correcting them before these problems become an injury. As a chiropractor and elite level athlete that has played at both the National and Olympic level, she is uniquely qualified to work with our players.
Head Goalkeeper Coach - Mike Girard
Originally from Comox Valley on Vancouver Island Mike Girard moved to Vancouver when he was 15 to join Mountain United and train within Whitecaps Academy as well as Whitecaps Residency programs. Going on to represent BC in the U16 Provincial Program, then the following year representing BC again with his club team Mountain United placing 3rd. Continuing through the Residency Program Mike then went on to train with the Whitecaps United States Soccer League Side Whitecaps FC2 after finishing with them Mike then went over seas to train with German Sides VFR Garching as well as working with 1860 Munich U23 side.
Our technical staff is comprised of professional football players, most of whom have played at an elite level in a professional club, college, or at the club level. Each of our staff coaches bring a unique skill set to our team, and we look to match this with teams and players to ensure the right approach is given to all players who attend our programs.
