Remembrance Day Tournaments *UPDATED*

Many of our teams from U9 to U17 braved the cold and wind and participated in tournaments around the lower mainland this past Nov 11th Remembrance Day!

Here are some great photo's and highlights from around our club! What a beautiful day it was!! Thanks for representing our club so well and congrats to all teams!

Double Gold for the GU17 98 Selects! They walked away with 1st place in the 6 a side BGSC Remembrance Day Tourney by beating Burnaby on their home turf.  The girls went 4-0 in match play and didn't concede one goal the entire tournament!!!  They also won 1st place in their division's SHOOT OUT competition!  Well done ladies!!!!

The U9 girls Wildcats took first place in their  division at the BGSC Remembrance Day tournament. The girls won 4 straight games on a cold and windy Remembrance Day. Go Wildcats!

The U9 Storm went 2 and 1 at the CFC Remembrance Day Tourney……Fun was had by all in chilly South Surrey……but hey….check out the socks!!!! Looking good ladies!

The U12 AC Select Hotspurs went undefeated in 3 games against some tough competition in the CFC Remembrance Day Tourney! It was a cccccooooold day but the boys figured out how to stay hot!!!

The BU9 Real Madrid also managed to survive the cold and wind. The team played amazing with many goals for (> 20) and only got scored on one time. We Won all three games!

The Port Moody under-10 select Diamonds shared a national moment of silence at the Burnaby Remembrance Day tournament, then proceeded to bring the noise en route to a tourney title. The Diamonds won all four games, surrendering just one goal and out-gunning the competition 11-1 before blanking Burnaby 3-0 in the final. In the final, Sienna Anderson tallied twice and Camiella Empson cashed in a single to set the table, while Evelyn Olson held down the fort and collected a shutout in her first appearance between the posts this season. During the day-long series, the squad was led by the tireless play of Makena Easton, Chloe Hedges, Mackenzie Quinn and Ava Taylor. Anderson and Empson spearheaded the attack with three goals each, while Anderson delivered a standout game in goal. Jane Robinson and Leah Song scored two each, while Olson rounded out the offence that saw Port Moody blank Surrey 3-0, edge North Shore 2-1 and Burnaby 3-0 in round-robin action. Delivering diligent ball control and numerous offensive forays were forwards Scarlet Earl and Catalina Hickey. Robinson would post an amazing clean sheet in the shootout competition, earning the Diamonds the singular distinction of winning both a division title and the shootout award.

Another great Burnaby Girls Remembrance day tourney for the GU14 Kaos! Defending champs in the SHOOTOUT competition and playing Burnaby in the final to a 2-2 tie. Well done ladies!
