Here's an update from the Adults side!

Port Moody Gunners (Umbro premier League) Friday

PM vs Langley FC – 3-2 win.

The Gunners knocked off second place Langley despite not being at their best. Jeff Rogers tipped in the opening goal midway thru the first half. Jack Livesey put the Gunners up 2-0 with a rocket of a strike at 30 minutes. Langley replied just before the half. The second half saw the Gunners up their intensity and improve their play. This improvement was rewarded when Minchan Jeon scored on a breakaway with 15 to go. Langley put in a furious comeback attempt but fell short.

Monday in Soccer City Cup action vs Westcoast FC

The Gunners opened the round robin competition with a 2-1 win. In a dominant first 20 minutes Minchan Jeon scored after just 2 minutes with a powerful strike from 25 yards. A few minutes later Jun Lee hit on a side volley off a terrific Nick Leonard cross. Westcoast replied midway thru the half but the Gunners were the bette team on the day. Joe Kennedy had a fine game in goal.
