PMSC Club update - Oct 2017

We are now a month into the soccer season and hope all your children are having fun!

We had over 100 youth players join the club between the end of August and mid September (which is unheard of) and so it has been a busy start to the season; plus the U11-U18 boys teams and our U8-U10 high performance teams both started in brand new leagues this season (both with some start up pains), and so we appreciate everyone's patience while the early season jitters were worked out :)

4v4 STARTS OCT 21/22 - saturdays for girls and sundays for boys

Our 4v4 program will be starting this coming weekend - it is a FREE program for our Port Moody Soccer Club registered players. I will be posting a schedule in the next day or two. The 4v4 program will run at Inlet Field (gravel soccer field on Murray Street) - girls will be on Saturdays and boys will be on Sundays. This is a weekly session that will run through to the end of February where our U8-U18 players can come down and play 4v4 soccer against their peers. There are no pre-set teams, and there is no coaching. This is an opportunity for our players to simply have fun with lots of touches on the ball in a casual environment. Our staff members will prepare the field each week and organize the players who show into 'teams' for that session. If there are U6 or U7 players who are ready and would like to join the U8 group, no problem to do so.

If the crest on your uniform is coming off, please let your coach know so that they can arrange to return it to me for re-sealing. The uniforms were pressed in Toronto and apparently their new machine was not callibrated properly and hence the issue with the crests coming off. Please do not try to iron them on yourselves as you may burn the shirt. Soccer Express is giving the resealing of crests top priority and so I can get them back within a day or two.

Our BU8-BU11 practices are CANCELLED on Tuesday, Oct 31 due to Halloween.

I have drafted the field allocations for our home games for the remainder of the season and am just waiting on the boys U11-U18 game schedules so I can include them. I will be posting them on the PMSC website during the week. If you look under 'Programs' and then search for your age group you will be able to see your home game schedule (once I have posted). The game information for your AWAY games will be available from your opposing teams and is sometimes posted on your team's league's website. Check with your coach or team manager for this information.

Kind regards and looking forward to a great season!
