PMSC Appoints Dr. Melissa Tancredi!

The Port Moody Soccer Club is very pleased to introduce our new Lead Soccer Performance Therapist,  Dr. Melissa Tancredi. Welcome to the club, Dr. Tancredi!


 

This appointment represents the second step in a major investment by the Club in its soccer development program. Melissa will coordinate on field with the Club, our Technical Director Johnny Sulentic and our Head Coach of Girls Brittany Timko.

Melissa is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a Bronze medal in both London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games as a member of the Canadian Women’s National Soccer Team since 2004. She is a board certified chiropractor in both the US and Canada with certifications in FDM (Fascial Distortion Model), Graston and Kinesio Tape.

This will include:

  • Pre-training program
  • Proper soft tissue release techniques
  • Activation exercises
  • Proprioception
  • Body weight strength exercises
  • Functional movement patterns
  • Overall Prehab education
  • Nutritional information/guidance

Having represented Canada on the world stage and played professional soccer for over 12 years, Dr. Melissa Tancredi is well aware of the physical demands of being active and she understands what it takes to compete at the highest level, to stay healthy and perform at your best.

Dr. Melissa Tancredi is currently practicing Chiropractic care Mondays and Wednesdays at Maxfit Movement in Port Moody and Tuesdays, and Thursday-Saturday at MVMTlab in Gastown.
