    • 03 AC Hotspurs - Adidas Cup Tourney

       Posted on: Mar 20, 2015

The 03 AC Hotspur finished up their U12 season at the Adidas Cup Tournament in Surrey.

They had a great showing and the boys played the club proud. After dropping the first game against a very solid Calgary Foothills Club 3-0, they bounced back for a 9-0 win against Kamloops Blaze Blue.

They then faced another Kamloops Blaze squad Sunday morning, and quickly took a 3-0 lead, Kamloops came back with 2 quick answers, but the Hotspur stopped them there and went on to a 9-2 win.

The Sunday afternoon game ( in the torrential rain and cold ), the boys faced a much bigger and more physical opponent in Kelowna FC, after allowing 3 quick goals the boys settled down and got a marker just before half. They came out firing and were able to close down the two top players from Kelowna, as well as scoring two goals to even the score.

The two teams traded goal saving tackles, spectacular runs, and pinpoint passing, as well as a goal each to end the match at a 4-4 tie.

A great way to finish the tournament, the boys showed a tremendous amount of heart on a lousy wet day.

       Go Port Moody!!!
