2012 Spring League Information

League Format: (top)
The 2012 Spring League is open to all clubs/players who are currently registered with the BC Soccer Association for the 2011-2012 playing season. This is a strict requirement for insurance purposes and it is the responsibility of the main contact for each team to ensure that all players are registered with BCSA.
Separate programs for boys and girls. Boys games will be played on Saturdays and girls games will be played on Sundays.
Separate divisions for U9 - U12. Please note that these age categories are based on the birth dates for the upcoming 2012-2013 BCSA season; U9 born in 2004, U10 born in 2003, U11 born in 2002, U12 born in 2001.
Level of play fixed for each division. The U9 and U10 divisions will be for Development level teams and the U11 and U12 divisions will be for Select level teams.
Each division will have a minimum of 4 teams and a maximum of 6 teams.
Each team will have a maximum of 14 players.
Game Format: (top)
All games will be in the Super 8 format (8 v 8) and will adhere to the BCSA small-sided Super 8 rules.
Each game will consist of two 30 minute halves with a 5 minute break between halves.
Games will be played on artificial turf at either Heritage Woods Secondary or Trasolini Field.
All players must wear the 2012 Spring League uniform assigned to their team (see Fees).

The league schedule consists of 10 games from April 14 - June 24.
No games scheduled for Victoria Day weekend (May 19/20).
Tentative team schedules to be released by March 30, 2012; final team schedules to be released no later than April 6, 2012.
Schedules will be emailed to each team's main contact.
Fees: (top)
Registration is by team only - not individual players. The cost per team is $1200.00.
Fee includes registration of the team into the Spring League and uniforms (Jersey with number, Shorts and Socks) for up to 14 players.
There will be 6 uniform colours per division. Teams may request a first and second choice of colour but assignments will be made on a first-come-first-served basis. Players must wear the assigned uniform to each game.
A deposit of $500.00 may be submitted to reserve a spot, with the balance payable by February 29, 2012.
All payments must be made by cheque payable to PORT MOODY SOCCER CLUB.
As fees are not collected from individual players, this payment does not qualify for the Child Fitness Tax Credit and no tax receipts will be issued.

The 2012 Spring League Registration Form is an editable PDF Form and can be saved to your hard disk. After completing the form save a copy to your computer with your club and team name included in the filename. Email a copy of this file as an attachment to the Spring League Administrator at springleague@portmoodysoccer.com. You will receive an email confirming your submission within 2-3 business days.
Also print a copy of the form and include it with your payment which may be mailed to or dropped off at:

It is recommended that you send in your payment immediately after emailing your registration form. Submission of the form does not guarantee a placement; payment of the deposit or full fee will provide placement upon approval of the Spring League Administrator.
